The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has officially announced that the results for class 10th (matriculation exams) across all educational boards in Punjab will be declared on July 24, 2025.

This unified result date was finalized in a high-level meeting of PBCC held on June 14, 2025. The meeting involved senior representatives from all Punjab educational boards, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Gujranwala, and Sahiwal.

Reason Behind the Delay
Initially expected earlier, the matric result announcement was postponed due to delays in paper checking and incomplete marking across several boards. These issues emerged primarily because of the high volume of students and the lack of sufficient examiners available during the post-exam period.
Officials stated that the evaluation process is now being fast-tracked and digital tools are being used to ensure accuracy and transparency in the compilation of results. The education department has assured that all boards will release the results on the same day without further delay.
BISE Rawalpindi Cancels Paper Over Out-of-Syllabus Questions
In a separate development, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi faced controversy after students of HSSC Part-I (11th class) raised concerns about an exam paper containing out-of-syllabus questions.
The subject in question was History of Islam, and the exam was conducted recently as part of the ongoing intermediate assessments. Upon receiving multiple complaints from students and teachers, board officials conducted a preliminary inquiry.
It was confirmed that the paper included content not covered in the officially prescribed curriculum. In response, BISE Rawalpindi took immediate action and cancelled the History of Islam paper to protect the academic integrity and well-being of students.
Rescheduled Exam Details
BISE Rawalpindi has announced that the cancelled paper will be reconducted on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, during the morning session (first group). Students have been instructed to appear at their original exam centers using the same roll numbers issued earlier.
This decision has been welcomed by educationists and parents who commended the board’s prompt response to students’ grievances.
